Traditional Jazz Instruments. Songs Of Old And New
Just over 12 months ago Michelle and Rod started playing Suzy and Banjo together, then invited in Paul and Megan (Trom & Vocal) for a jam. When they realized they had a sound happening Lindsay was invited along on trumpet. A drummer was no where to be found so Rod just started kicking on an old stomp box he had built years before, which, when combined with the Suzy form the rhythm.
We spent most of 2020's lock down arranging pieces (old and new)and pulled it all together late 2020.
Dixie Nouveau has been getting good feedback from their recent gigs and will continue to work on great songs in an old style, play more private events, and generally have some much needed fun :)
