The EBMJO was originally formed to play traditional New Orleans dance hall music at the 57th Australian Jazz Convention, held in Launceston in 2002. The band gets together for Festivals, Conventions and private functions. The EBMJO has had the same core personnel for the last six years; it varies in size from six to ten pieces, depending on requirements. Currently we are preparing for a recording studio engagement as well as a live album in December.
