This weekend (12th -14th Feb. 2021), the band celebrates its 29th anniversary, having first performed at the Grampians Jazz Festival in February 1992. Four of the 6 musicians (the back line and leader Ken Collins) appearing in this rehearsal video are original members and have continued for the 29 years. The band has performed at every Port Fairy Jazz Festival and its predecessor the Grampians Jazz Festival from 1992.

- Ken Collins - Trumpet, vocals & leader - A strong believer in the axiom that brass is made to be blown, not tooted.
- Barry Currie - Reeds & vocals - Possesses marvellous musical abilities, which often leave the rest of the band wondering which way he went.
- Herb Jennings - Trombone & vocals - The walking jazz encyclopedia of the band.
- David Hines - Banjo, guitar, & vocals - Patriarch of the band, thus the name.
- John Huf - Sousaphone & EUB (stick bass) - Heartbeat of the band & back room organiser.
- Wally Joosen - Drums & vocals - A tight, tasteful and listening drummer on the list of rare endangered species.
