Bridging the gap by fusing the musical talents of six of Melbourne’s top artists, The Bridge Band is a new presence in Melbourne’s burgeoning contemporary jazz scene.
The Bridge melds classic, contemporary and new jazz styles into fresh arrangements with infectious vocal harmonies — forming a fresh musical synergy. Their repertoire consists of works by contemporary artists such as Becca Stevens, Esperanza Spalding, and Chaka Khan as well as original music by composers in the band, ade ishs and Alex Yarosh.
Having charmed audiences at the Castlemaine, Halls Gap, and Port Fairy Jazz Festivals, the Bridge are already making their mark on the Melbourne contemporary jazz scene.
