2019 TERMS & CONDITIONS - MUSICIAN REGISTRATION

PORT FAIRY JAZZ FESTIVAL  -  February 8 - 10 • 2019

 

MUSICIAN REGISTRATION

(Definitions: ‘Musician’ shall include vocalist; a ‘Big Band’ is a band larger than 8 persons)

 

a)      Each Musician in a band that performs on the program is required to register. 

b)      Persons not in a registered programed band may not register as a musician.

c)       Musician Registration is available on the festival web site www.portfairyjazz.com.au

d)      There is no fee to register.

e)       Closing Date for musician registrations is 30th November 2018.  Musicians may register after that date, but will not be eligible for any disbursement.

f)        Musicians may nominate a MAXIMUM OF 3 BANDS for inclusion in the Official Program.  Only these three nominated bands will be given preference in programming.  While you can perform in more than three bands, it is your responsibility to avoid conflicts and work within the published schedule.

g)      Disbursement will only be paid where the musician meets all of the following criteria:

                                I.            The musician is registered by the closing date.

                              II.            The musician is in a registered band in the program and performs as programmed.

                            III.            Musicians who only perform in big bands do not receive an individual disbursement. This is paid to an account nominated by the band leader.

                            IV.            The musician (unless they are only in Big Bands) provides a current ABN or signed Statement by Supplier as part of the registration process. 

                              V.            Disbursement to musicians and big band leaders will only be made via direct deposit into a nominated bank or financial institution account.

                            VI.            Where a band wishes the disbursements of two or more of its members to go into a band account, those musicians should nominate that bank account and each supply an ABN or Statement by Supplier.

h)      Entry Ticket - Your Festival badge is your ticket/receipt. It will be available at the Jazz Office Thursday  Feb 7th  11 – 4pm, Friday  Feb 8th  11am– 10.00pm, Saturday  Feb 9th  9.00am – 10.00pm, Sunday  Feb 10th  9:30am – 3.00pm.  It must be displayed by you to gain entry to each venue.

i)        Partner Concession – A Concession (one only) is available to registered musicians for registering their partner, school official or parent (if musician under 18) – Fee $30.00

j)        Refunds - Where a registered partner subsequently cannot attend the festival, a refund will be paid, provided the refund request is received in writing by email to portfairyjazz@gmail.com or postal mail to PO Box 624, Warrnambool 3280 prior to the festival commencing (by 7th February 2019), and the claimant did not attend.

k)      Instrument care - Musicians are responsible for storage and safe keeping of their instruments at all times. The Western Victoria Jazz Productions Inc. is not liable for loss or damage to any instrument during the festival.
